Europe: Day Two – The Ship
Something about the ocean makes me instantly feel relaxed. The sound of the water, the smell of salty air, the warm ocean breeze.
Just writing about it makes me long to be near the shore.
I truly enjoyed our cruise…a little oasis on the sea. It was comfortable, calming and very romantic.
Although it was really hard to leave the kids behind, Dan and I had no idea how much we would enjoy time away as adults. It was like a second honeymoon. Yep, it was that fun.
One of my favorite memories on the ship: A late night trip to find food. We ended up at this little coffee shop ordering panini sandwiches and creme brulee. There was a sweet girl helping us, she was from China. Dan happened to be wearing a shirt with Chinese writing on the front, the girl loved this and we broke into a half hour conversation about how she ended up working on the cruise ship, she even taught us how to pronounce a little Chinese. Very cool.
A little recap of the first two days (photos that I haven’t shared yet)…
