The Not-So-Pretty-Paper Post
aka the “What-I’ve-been-up-to-recently-and-why-I-haven’t-been-posting post”.
The kids just had the last 10 days off school. Yep, 10 days! Today was their first day back. Whew.
I think it would have been a lot more fun, except for the fact that it was the same week the Office Manager quit at work. Guess who the only other person in town is that knows how to do her job?
Uh huh, that would be me.
Needless to say, I’ve been busy…and not with Pretty Paper Projects.
I’ve posted most of the following photos on Facebook. So this post is for those of you who haven’t seen them yet (you’re welcome Mom).
The kids came out of the bathroom the other day with “injuries” wrapped carefully in toilet paper. Here’s a couple of their “painful” photos:
Izabelle signed Parker’s “cast” with a red pen. She decided it looked more like blood than her name.
To my little girl, fake blood is cool.
So her “cast” had a little extra ‘”painful” blood.
Speaking of casts, the kids and I decided to make False Face Masks during their time off school. It was really fun! Parker said it was relaxing. Izabelle just liked having the Vaseline all over her face.
Parker:
Izabelle:
Now, all they have left to do is decorate them.
On Valentines Day, Dan and I took the kids up to the snow for a little sledding fun.
Izabelle at the top of the hill:
Sliding down the hill:
Izabelle at the bottom:
She said it was AWESOME!
Parker reaching the bottom of the hill:
Dan getting smacked with one of Parker’s snowballs:
These photos remind me of Parker’s favorite joke. Do you want to hear it?
OK.
Why did the toliet paper roll down the hill?
Give up?
To get to the bottom. Literally, the bottom.
Parker added the word literally, which made it super cute.
I hope you all forgive me for not posting something crafty…I’ll get right on it. Gulp.
You are too funny!!! and so are my grandkiddlings! I love the blood on the casts…hilarious! Looks like you had tons of fun in the snow…reminds me of Idaho…it’s just that I’m suppose to come back to SUNNY Cali and there’s SNOW!! That’s wrong!

Haha! That is a true boy joke. I’m going to have to share that one with my stepson. I don’t think I will ever understand the fascination with bodily functions they seem to have. Love the fake blood and casts. Oh the creativity! I suppose the get the paper fascination from their Mama.
The fake injuries make me laugh. My DD and her cousin used to enjoy doing that. We even bought fake scars and wounds at the dollar store to really round out the effect. Too funny!
love the bandages lol
forgiven mmmmm I guess so cos I know the next paper project will be worth the wait
I can’t wait to see the layouts that you make with these photos! The bandages are a riot! Thanks for sharing the great photos and the funny joke 🙂
Oh those poor kids. I hope you rushed them to the fake hospital right away.
ROFLMBO!!!!! Those kids are really too much – I love their creativity and imagination and well, their JOY for life!!! Awesome pics Christie, the made me smile! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex
